Today I have left Majestic to officially launch DHJ Ventures LTD, which is my vehicle for developing promising looking Marketing Partnerships and Joint Ventures that might come along.
Those that know me will know that I have a good track record for bringing Internet Marketing businesses to market and I want to do it again. My skillset works best when it complements a great technology partner. I have my own project if you have capital or experience in developing tech and want to partner with me, but I am just as interested in what others have to offer.
What I bring to the table
Most people know me as the face of Majestic. I started working on the Majestic 12 project when it was still in a bedroom. As Marketing Director I did my part bringing the world’s largest link map of the Internet to customers in over 100 countries.
Majestic won numerous awards including:
- Two Queens Awards for Enterprise
- Deloitte Fast 50 Winner
- UK Search Technology of the Year
- European Search Technology of the Year
- US Search Technology of the year
Before Majestic, I was the founder and largest initial investor in Receptional, one of the UK’s earliest Internet Marketing Consultancies. It survives today and in 2018 won the Drum’s Agency of the year. My own dotcom bubble started in 1997 building up Murder Mystery Games – which remains active online to this day.
Before the Internet, I founded Initiative Unlimited, a corporate events business specializing in interactive events and problem solving. Again, it survives through two new ownership changes to this day.
I like to build businesses that stand the test of time. I like innovation and I like getting in early.
On a personal level I have been the UK Search Personality of the year.
I have a degree in Maths & Management Studies from Brunel and an MBA with Strategic Management from Aston.
To venture into the unknown can be frightening or it can be your boldest move. But it starts with this first step. I very much hope I can still represent Majestic in 2019, but the road ahead is full of possibilities.
Today is also my 54th birthday. I am officially open for business.
