The chess/life analogy is good. It’s similar to the parallels drawn in Kasparov’s book ‘How Life Imitates Chess’. I’m guessing that you’ve read that, but if not, then it’s definitely worth a read. It’s my favourite book on business :-)

I’ll definitely read that! My chess skills are… modest. I played for county once… but only because England was playing football in the World Cup so they had trouble finding “real” players :). That said – I would probably fair well against most non-club players.
